# People and spaces

> Invite your team and manage spaces.

Only owners and admins can manage people. Other callers get `FORBIDDEN`. See [Companies and people](https://docs.usecadence.gg/teams/companies-and-people.md).

## people/list

`POST /rpc/people/list` returns the company's members, their roles and spaces, and pending invites. No input.

## people/invite

`POST /rpc/people/invite` invites someone and returns the invite link.

**email** `string` *required*

Their email address.

**role** `"admin" | "member"` (default: member)

Their role.

**spaceIds** `string[]` (default: \[])

Spaces to join. Empty means the main space.

**url** `string`

The invite link. It works once, expires after 7 days, and is not shown again.

**emailed** `boolean`

Whether Cadence also emailed it.

**invitation** `object`

The pending invite.

## Other people procedures

| Procedure | Input | Effect |

| `people/revokeInvite` | `{ invitationId }` | Cancels an invite. |
| `people/setRole` | `{ userId, role }` | Changes a role (`owner`, `admin` or `member`). Only owners can make or change owners. |
| `people/remove` | `{ userId }` | Removes someone from the company. |
| `people/addToSpace` | `{ userId, spaceId }` | Adds them to a space. |
| `people/removeFromSpace` | `{ userId, spaceId }` | Removes them from a space. |

## Spaces

| Procedure | Input | Effect |
| - | - | - |
| `spaces/list` | none | Spaces you can use, including other companies' as "Company · Space". |
| `spaces/create` | `{ name }` | Creates a space. Name up to 60 characters. |
| `spaces/rename` | `{ spaceId, name }` | Renames it. Space owner only. |
| `spaces/remove` | `{ spaceId }` | Deletes it. Space owner only. |

Send a space's id in the `x-cadenceplus-space-id` header to act in it.
